Specializing in QMS Consulting and Implementation

For some, a simple reference of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 (Quality Management System) strikes feelings of dread and/or frustration. Thoughts of the difficulties ahead in developing a compliant and/or certified ISO 9001 program. If this is you, erase those thoughts and feelings; MtPi is here to help.

What is a Quality Management System (QMS)? Quality Management System (QMS) is a formalized system of policies, processes, and procedures required for planning and execution (production/development/service) in the core business area of an organization. QMS helps coordinate and direct an organization’s activities to meet customer and regulatory requirements and improve its effectiveness and efficiency on a continuous basis.

Requirements

While the ISO 9001:2015 does specify requirements for Quality Management Systems, it is important to remember this is your system, and you design it to fit your needs. Sections without benefit to you or customers need not be adopted. Becoming compliant or certified is a company decision; however, Quality Management Systems serve many purposes, including:

  • Improving Processes
  • Reducing Waste
  • Lowering Costs
  • Facilitating and Identifying Training Opportunities
  • Engaging Staff
  • Setting Organization-Wide Direction

By addressing these items and more, your customers gain confidence in the products and services you offer, knowing they are safe, reliable, and of good quality.
